Hey all,

I was wondering if any of you have weighed your S2K's, and if so, what sorts of numbers you received? I know the official numbers, but they tend to be off the mark sometimes.

I searched the archives for "weight" but got too many responses to sort though while I'm at work (-;

Thanks!

LF - 717lbs RF - 712lbs
LR - 746lbs RR - 716lbs
A total of 2890lbs including driver and 1/2 tank of gas. I weigh 145lbs, so 2745 without driver. Pretty light and quite well balanced. What can be done about that left rear, though?

Thanks for all the info, guys.

A little odd how the left rear holds considerably more weight than the other corners. You'd expect for the entire left to have a little more thanks to the driver's weight, but not just the rear...

If she had adjustable suspension I'd recommend softening up the left-rear, but unless you've made that upgrade, I don't think that suggestion will help much (-:

The gas tank of our Stook is just behind the left seat under where the roof sit.
50liters of gas is quite heavy.

Ohh... I thought it was right in the center ahead of the rear wheels...? Guess not.

Yeah, that would certainly explain the weight differential. Too bad they couldn't centralize the tank better.

What can you do about the left rear? Easy, an Amuse exhaust will solve that one. Exit is on the right, and I'm sure you'd drop near 20 lbs on the left side.

The Amuse exhaust will help but not equal the weight. Gasoline weighs about 6 lbs per gallon, quite a lot of weight when the tank is full.
