I’m in Moultrie GA at the Solo Nationals. Ran at the bottom of the list of Miata’s in CS (not the very bottom). Out of curiosity I put the car on the scales.

2675 with 2 bars of fuel remaining. Only thing removed from the car was the spare and the tools/jack.

 

Before my next solo National tour I want a shirt that says “I h8 Miata’s”

That seems awfully low on the scale. IIRC mine weighed about 2750 with the rear half of the exhaust out (45 lbs) and no spare, jack, and half tank of fuel etc. The ap1 weighs about 2780 stock with no fuel in it.

 

Yea, what year is the car? That sounds low for a car that hasn't attempted to lose weight.

My porker 06 was 2890 on scales in Charlotte last year with a full tank of gas, roll bar, hard + soft top. But, I do have single exhaust, Pole Positions, BBK, lighter dampers, and some other lighter weight stuff. I'd expect it was probably close to factory weight, maybe a little bit less.
