I was back home visiting my mom in Wilmington when my best friend called me late the other night to tell me he went out to get a burger and 2nd gear went. Im not mad because I knew i had the grind but honda insisted since the repairs are soo time consuming that i should only get the clutch tsb done. So i did that about 3 months ago. Well I drove the car last weekend and the clutch felt really strange..very stiff and felt like i was crunching a bunch of shells when I pressed down the clutch. Thank god i got the extended warranty till 100k. I is at Holler Honda as I typed getting all the parts ordered and stuff. He said it should take a week and a half. This is a bummer because I've also been waiting on a new power Inverter for one of my HID's..stopped working so it will not ignite the bulb..its finally here after being on back order for 3 weeks *sigh*. This car never stops having problems to me. Good thing im a patient person I guess cause i still love the car enough to keep it. Too much of a girl magnet for a single guy like me . Ill keep everyone updated.

I think everything will be ok. Cause I took the car to them when it was just a grind..not..when it broke only.

 

Just brought mine in for the 1/2 grind. It took the Honda dealer less than a week to get the parts. Per the CS person @ the dealer it is an 8 hour job which is why they need it for two days

 

wow....now can you explain the grinding? is it only in hard shifts? or is it constantly happening?

 

Well I called Honda on the 29th of april. Asst. Service manager said that my extended warranty rep came out to look at the car. He is saying new transmission. But the problem is ...they cant find one....New..or used at this point. So they are going to put in a trace today for one. This is frustrating..but they are being very helpful. I recommend them if you live in orlando. Holler Honda.

Im curious if anyone else has had tranny problems similar to this. I just got the clutch tsb done 2000 miles ago. Doesnt make any scense. I do know that when they put the clutch in..it was very easy to press down..but right before this happened..the clutch was very stiff..about as stiff as my ACT in my prelude...but it felt like a "crunch" when i pressed the clutch in...weird..hope someone can help me on this. I dont wanna look dumb when i go back to honda..cause i want some sort of explaination.

 

no one can help me on this one huh? If you have had tranny problems id like to know what they were and if they knew what caused it.
