Default Well it is final...

My S2000 (00') was totaled by the insurance company.(State Farm)

They are giving me $27,759.00! This seems to comfirm my belief that the car hold it's value well and is probably much more that if I had bought say a 00' Cobra...

Looks like I get to go shopping.

considering a friend of mine(who was shopping Odyssey's) just told me a Dallas area dealer implied he could buy an 03' S2000 for $30k out the door... I may have to look at an 03'. I would rather have an 04'

That's pretty high, how many miles did it have on it and was it stock?

Tht's not bad at all, but don't forget they normally are including taxes.

yes they included taxes... I had 47k miles on the car(only mods were the K&N filter and of course my trusty V1.).

I went and kissed it goodbye today(and retrieved my wiring for my V1). The bank had told me (while enquiring anbout the payoff) they would prob. give me about $22k.

Funny thing was... if I had managed to pay msrp back in 99'... I would have driven the car for 4 years(well almost) for under $5k. (not counting tires of course...)

At least I did not pay $10k over like some were reporting!!

I ended up with $11.5k for a down on the next one.

That's a pretty good price. If you have an alternate vehicle to drive wait for the 04's.
