I think he means 60' time, but 2.2 isnt that great either. Howd you pull 13.7? It took like a 1.9 from my buddy to pull 13.7's.

Where are you located? If your at a high altitude you are not going to run as fast as you would at sea level.
exactly. the track i go to in so cal (palmdale), is estimated at 3000 ft above sea level and the time they clock u in at is slower than what it should be. it even states on their site that to get correct 1/4 time, u have to mulitply the time u ran by .97
but yeah dude, s2k should run low 14s, high 13s. i dont have one yet, but maybe in several months i will if insurance isnt tooooo high.

Even if your launch is not perfect, you should not be getting a 15.6. I launched very conservatively (didn't pop the clutch) and got at a 14.6. It is true that a s is not a drag car, but one shouldn't guilt another for testing his curiousity at a strip. Just be careful and evaluate your tolerance for losing your trannie when launching hard.

As NNY stated earlier, your reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time. You can sit there all day long and pick your nose after the tree goes green and still pull off a sub 14sec run provided that your 60ft is really good.

I think he meant 60' time was 2.21.

Do you think a 13.7 is doable with a 2.21 60'? I don't know I am just asking...I have yet to take the S2000 to the drag strip. I have been scared by all the things I have read on here and I haven't even launched the car after 6 months of ownership. Reading Wisconsin's posts are helping me build up the courage though.

I still want to see his slip.

Asking again, what was the elevation for the original poster??

I suppose on low elevation and a very cool evening, a 13.7 is possible on a 2.2. I had my 13.7 on a 2.0 and numerous 13.8's on 2.2's IF the weather was COOL and the air was not humid.
