now i know you've probably been asked this before, ive watched your video's and can see your a good driver. what 1/4 mile times are u pulling, i dont know any other people on this forum with s/c'd s2000's. i also wanna know ( if u dont mind ) how much u paid total, meaning the supercharger package installation, and whatever else u needed to pay for.... thanks in advance
Mod / What I Paid
SC / $4,895
B&B Triflo Exhaust / $500 (used)
Proflow TB / $150
V-AFC w/ harness / $300 (used)
Homade CAI / $60
ACT Street Disc & HD PP / $150 & $440
The history of my car is very well-known, but to keep you from spending days catching up here's the short story. My first trip to the track (1/4 mile) I snapped my left axle on my second pass.
Axle / $350
I got the car back 2 weeks later. Less than 48 hours after getting the car back I snapped the other axles and destroyed every piece of my differential and housing while launching in a street race (money race
). After that I replaced the stock parts and upgraded some.
Honda Differential Housing / $370
Honda Right Axle / $350
Kaaz Diff / $850
Comptech Bearing Caps / $400
Various stock parts / $1,400
I have yet to finish my rear end "beef up" project. Next is:
Drive Shaft Shop Axles / $650
Cryogenically Freeze Diff Housing / $200-$300
I've been putting these off for 9 months, but the time has come that I want to launch the car again. I'm pretty sure that I'll break something else, but it's not gonna stop me.
So, I never went back to the track. From what I've heard from other (competent) SC drivers, including Comptech, the SC S2000 can run a 13.1. From my experience against other cars, it can definitely run a 13.1. I have no slips to prove that, but if anyone wants to challange me to a race to see if it's true I'll gladly accept.
Once I get my axles/diff housing taken care of I plan on spending some time at the track.
Now, as for the future.
Intercooler and Piping / $1,000
Pulley (10 PSI) / $200-$300
AEM EMS / ~$1,000 (used)
Wet Direct Port (75+) / $1,000
Low 12 second carm if not better.
Further into the future.
Pulley (12 PSI) / $200-$300
10.X:1 Pistons / $700
4.30 Gear / $900
11 second car, if not better.
