My OEM mats never move with the standard holding peg installed.

I had to order another OEM set a while ago and I do have the extra holding peg that came with that set... if you're interested.

Mine never moves. They are 1 piece mats also. Maybe mine is just a special mat. No really go to home depot and get the grommet kit.

Drill six holes at random through the mats and your floorboard. Attach mat to floorboard with six appropriately sized bolts with nuts. It'll look like hell, but I guarantee it won't slide around anymore.

yes i have the peg on the left but then the right side moves forward. i think i need another peg installed on the right side of the mat and i know it will never happen again. has anyone done this before. i guess i will cut a hole on the right to fit over the new peg?!!

There was another string on this. I thought Muz was sending some grommetts to someone int he states so folks could retro fit their 1 piece mats to work with the retaining pin.

I got so fed up with the problem I bought some picture hangers (look like a washer with a hook) and installed them under my front seat frame bolts. Then I sewed a loop to the corners of both mats and life is good. No more movement. I haven't reached down there since.

A few people had problems with the driver's mat moving around a bit. For some time now all floor mats have come with the grommet option. For those who don't have the grommet I have sent a bag of 100 or so black ones to turbo_pwr in NY. He should receive them very shortly then all you will have to do is send him a stamped self addressed envelope to get one for free.

As you can see from this thread some people are harder on mats than others For most people their mat doesn't move around however a grommeted MuzMat totally eliminates this possibility. There is nowhere for it to move. The grommet stops sliding forward or backwards while the 1 piece design means sideways movement is eliminated also.

I had the exact same problem as the original poster with my factory mats...always spinning around on the post.

See thread id 13117 which shows a pic of the bracket to fix the creeping mat problem! I have not had a Muzmat move since I installed the post on the right side of the drivers' mat.
