Default what conveniences did you lose

I'm planning on buying an s2k in the next month or so. I'm curious to know what you would say you have had to give up by going to the small 2 seater. My wife has a 4 door so i'll still be able to have a little room if i need it.

Besides the obvious things like towing, carrying a lot of cargo. I'm just wondering what i'll be giving up that I haven't though about yet.

One thing i'm pretty sure i'll loose is the ability to get out of my car with both hands full.

It has no cupholders, cars don't see you in traffic (well, true in mt miata at least), security unless you have a hardtop (even then you should get a lock, wind noise even when top is up, and bumpier rides unless you're used to sports car.

Visits to CostCo? Bump that homie.

LoL the trick to getting out of the car without using your hands is to make sure that your left calf (providing you're getting out of the driver's side.. if not, the 'other' calf) is close as possible to the car when getting out.

lol, I can go to Costco just fine! Water goes in the trunk, and I put some stuff in the front seat. What you need to say is "trip to Costco with the wife" haha. umm.. glove compartment. I know there's that secret compartment, but I keep it locked and by the time I put the key in the ignition, and realize 'crap I need something in there', I have to turn off the engine, unlock the compartment and get the stuff out. Sooo, I usuallt don't put stuff in there except paperwork.

Um...that and I do miss just plopping stuff in the back seat, you sorta can do that if you have a small manbag or jacket, you can put it in the space behind your seat. Oooooh and one more =) I miss being able to rotate my tires =)

Cheap parts for good horsepower gains. There's almost nothing to do to this engine except go FI for more power.

I also miss having a large gas tank, filling up every 2 days drives me nuts.

only slightly annoying thing is if you want to go across country or drive to airport with someone then there isn't much room for luggage. But a friend and I managed a 10 day holiday with what we took in the S2k so not that bad. But then that's not really what the car is for...

no back seats, but then again I knew that, but the roof down allows you to F&F it and pile a fair amount of stuff in the car... espec if u remove the passenger seat!

i agree with cupholders, we do have it, just that it only fits 1 coffee. the small gas tank is killer too, i only get 265miles per tank =(

i really miss being able to take a nap in my car. a quick nap on my lunch break at work was helpful. Although i can fit two sets of golf clubs in the trunk with the spare tire removed i still cant fit enough beer in the car for the 12 hours of sebring weekend.

Obviously when compared to a sedan or SUV there isn't much cargo space, but you can fit a small bag in the trunk well and still place a big green military duffle on top. I've packed for 8 week trainings with uniforms, and my Tassimo.
