What Could of Caused THIS!!!???
Definitely looks like a vehicle caused the accident. Because of the height of impact and the acute indentation, I would also think that an SUV-type vehicle hit it, with the ballmount creating the dent in that location.
Damn bastards they have no respect ... I hope you get it repaired 100% soon.

Is it me or does it look like somebody just came up and kicked it really hard? Like a large cowboy boot straight on with a bit of down force.
If an SUV hit it, it had to be low enough not to ride up and scratch the fender up top. If it was a bumper, it would seem that it would have hit the tire as well and possibly the rim. See any damage there?
Then again, it could have been a cattle-catcher or something. Stranger things have happened
Where where you when this happened? I've seen drunk bastards kick and scratch cars in Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville on a few occasions (not to mention a few urination incidents). I usually park at a friends house and get a cab when getting my drink on down there. Too dangerous. Fun, but dangerous.
Anyhoo, sorry to hear about that. Feel even worse seeing the damage. People suck

I experienced a similar disaster (though mine was an intentional rock throwing incident) and bought a new fender for about $300.00. I then took the old fender and the new fender to the shop that repairs the new Hondas damaged in shipment in my area. They were the only ones I trusted to match the factory paint without blending the paint into the door and hood. To my surprise, they preferred to fix the old fender (which has the VIN # on it) and blend the paint on it alone! My car is Silverstone and I defy anyone to tell which fender it was. (50 -50 chance of being right so I won't bet $$$$) You might consider that approach - the fender is easy to remove and you can keep your car safe while they work on the fender - just a thought!
