Default what is dealer holdback on new S2k?

is it 2% ? so if dealer sells a s2k at invoice, he still makes 2% of msrp, right?

Not really, out of that 2 % he would have to pay the salesman, showroom costs, heating and electric bills, taxes on profits, property taxes, car prep charges ect....

the holdback is designed to help the dealer recoup some of the costs of keeping the car in inventory.

you really can't use holdback in sales negotiations much. Sure, it helps if the dealer knows you know about it, but you really can't use it as leverage to get a car at cost. also "invoice" is not really the cost. their are often incentives and rebates (although usually not on the S).

Isn't it moot since, to the best of my knowledge, there is no holdback on the S2k. I could be wrong.

So what is the dealer's actual price on a new s2000, assuming it has no additions. Just curious as to how much they make.
