Not quite today... but recently knocked out a few TLC items that I've been meaning to do:
Used the rubbing alcohol trick to remove the rest of the peeling/worn matte shifter trim. I prefer the original matte look, but the half-peeling look had to go. Might consider wrapping the trim in something similar to OEM when I have the time, but the chrome look is not bad for now. Really wish someone would make an OEM replacement for the trim considering you have to by a whole new console to replace it (which you can get now anyways).
New OEM shift knob to replace the old one that was a little scratched up on the side
Replaced the ugly 2000's era aftermarket head unit that I had with a Blaupunkt Frankfurt unit. Wasn't cheap, but I love the look. Period correct with modern features (BT) and the quality is great. Used the modifry DCI with the plug and play harness and it was a million times easier to install than the modifry harness for my old Sony unit. Truly plug and play. Only issue with the was the OEM mounting brackets don't quite fit onto the side of the unit.. had to fiddle with it a bit and was only able to use one mounting point on each side of the unit (OEM was 2) in order to get it to sit at the right depth in the dash.
Restored the seats with the Leatherique kit. I don't have great before/after pics, but the results were pretty impressive. Restored the matte look to the leather and also made the material noticeably softer and more plush feeling. Much less afraid of worsening or introducing more cracks in the drivers seat as a result. Definitely worth it given that the smallest 8oz kit is plenty for both seats. I let the rejuvenator sit for ~48 hours before using the pristine clean.
Bought an OEM cargo net. Idk why but I love these kind of niche OEM accessories, I think it's actually quite useful if you keep a lot of car care stuff in the trunk like I do. I figured you also won't be able to find these new for much longer as well.
Nice car JChhim!!! I adjusted the valves today. I previously set them at .008 I / .010 E, but thought that might be a smidge on the tight side. That was about a year and a half ago. Their settings hadn't changed at all and I set them at .010" I / .011" E. (2004 model). It is satisfying to pull the valve cover and see a nice clean valve train at 88K miles. :-)

If you keep up maintaining the car, they'll always look like that. My valves look like that at 163k. Good job.
Also, I'm pretty sure the AP2v1 (2004-2005) are the golden model years because they don't have the valve retainer issues from the AP1 or the valve tightening issues from the AP2v2. That's according to Billman. Nothing wrong with being proactive, however. But it's really only done after large mileage intervals. I do it every 20k but I'm pretty sure it was recommended to do it after 50k by Billman, if I remember correctly. I'm stretching because I read a post by him about it years ago.
