Default What to do blew the motor on my s2k

car had 150k on it ran great got an oil change done on it in Jan, only drove 1100 since then and on Friday on the way to work the motor made a pop noise then banging noises. Pulled over checked oil there was NONE! towed to a shop and he said rod is gone just by listening to it

1. Where the hell did all the oil go no leaks nor did I smell burning
2. should I rebuild engine or get a replacement?
3. how difficult is it to find a replacement motor?

how much $$ am I looking at?
need to find cheapest option to get back on road, money is tight as heck these days.
can i just fix the one rod/s and be done with it?

can anyone recommend a shop or even a side mechanic to fix this car is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan close to U of M campus.

With 150k miles, just get a newer lower mileage engine. Who did you oil change?

I'm selling my F20C. 88k miles, no problems. I'd like $2500, but feel free to PM me with an offer. I'm trying to sell it soon on a best-offer basis.

Are you sure your car didn't burn any oil? Besides an oil leak, I would assume you were certainly passing oil??

Unless the shop just didn't fill'er up enough.

Good luck with the fix!

If your buying a used engine definitely get something with under 50K if you buy a higher mileage one it will just be over 100K before you know it.
I know someone locally who bought an 06 engine with like 30k or something for 2600 shipped.
