Default What to do..go fast mods that won't break the bank

I've not done anything to my car yet. I was trying to decide if I wanted to keep it for a while (sink some money into it) or sell it (don't spend anything).

Well I guess for me there's nothing near the price I'd rather have so I'm going to do a few things.

Help me decide if you can...

First thing I'm going to get some 17" wheels I'm leaning towards the Volks CE28s. My car is silverstone, can't decide what color to get gunmetal or regular silver color...

After that I'm open to suggestions, I want to keep it NA and don't want anything that will cause harm.

What should I do and where should I have it done? I'm not any good at DIY things.

I was thinkng about CAI but which one?

Gears? How much will that cost?

Exaust? How much?

I don't know much about this. If possible and if it's not too much trouble could you please tell me if I'll see and gain from mods and at what cost..

Thanks so much

my recommendation is to do a search, many people have these products and you can read all day on their opinion!

Good luck and enjoy the ride.

stay w/ the lightest 16" rims. buy the lightest tires humanly possible.

then "add" lightness. remove a/c, remove trunk/interior carpet... remove spare, lose weight, remove fatass girl friends, etc..
^^ the only truly free mod.

Hmm thanks . I was not asking for "free mods". As for taking out AC, spare tire etc.. That stuff is there for a reason, I'm not going to remove my AC to save a few pounds and I doubt most people would consider that good advice.

I'm asking for advice on common mods not looking to turn it into a race car.

Fat ass girlfriends have no business in there in the first place
Therefore, there should be no need for removal of the aforementioned.
But yes, look through the forums for topics pertinent to the mods you have proposed...that will be much more informative than just a few of us saying a few words here in this thread.
Good luck

I see your point, just thought it may be possible that someone may have some wisdom to offer. Didn't mean for it to be a big bother.

I could do 1001+ searches and spend several days or maybe there's a chance someone has been where I am now and could say something like:

"You need this, this and this, and don't forget this.."

That'd be helpful and I don't think it would be too hard. As I said in my first post thanks in advance, feel free to answer if it's not too much trouble.

Rai, the size of each person's bank can be vastly different. What might not break yours, may put me into the poor house. But I think I know what you're getting at.
"Go fast" mods aren't cheap. Cheap mods don't generally net you "go fast" results. The typical "intake/exhaust" won't break the bank, but they don't provide much "bang for the buck" either (maybe 5 to 10 hp). With these, you will only notice a different sound and perhaps more smoothness in the power delivery.
Rear "gears" will be your best bang for the buck but this is a fairly "permanent" mod as removing it is just as invasive as putting it on in the first place.
The rest of the "not break the bank" mods will mostly be cosmetic.

Of all the many vehicles I've owned, this one is the hardest to bump up performance with inexpensive "add ons".
