. Also, insurance will be much cheaper the older you go.
Not true, my insurance was cheaper with ANY AP2 than ANY AP1

how's that? an ap2 is in general less mileage and worth more as they are newer than the ap1s.

^^^No VSA, 9k rpm, more prone to oversteer, lower price=more younger guys buying it, all equates to more crashed AP1 S2ks which makes insurance higher.

Make sure to turn it off when you autocross. I've ruined a few runs with it on... but on the street I always leave it on.

The VSC sucks because some people think it makes them invincible, and they would start driving more aggressively than they would without it

The same can be said for ABS brakes, which did not reduce collisions in the general public. Still a great thing to have (given only one pedal to control front and rear brakes).

It sucks if you love doing burnouts ...In which case you just turn it off and Burn away.

I've considered installing an aftermarket traction control system on my early AP1, and CKit has actually done it. I believe there are times when I'd clearly enjoy the car more with it, than without it (and I'm one of those idiots who likes the earliest AP1's because of their more primative and debatably harsher nature).

I cannot see how there can be ANY downsides, as long as you can turn it off whenever you like.
I love he harshness of the early ap1 too. Definitely not for everyone.
