What do you love/hate about your s2000?
Im thinkin about gettin a s2. What do you all love about your s2 and hate about it as well?
Do you think i should get an s2, or go for something else.
Im buying a used one btw so my budget is about 22k.
Thanks.

Holy crap...117ppd average? You've been busy...
Should you get an S2, or something else? That question can only really be answered by you. What are you getting the car for? As a daily driver the S2k does its job, but obviously a sedan or even a coupe would be more 'convenient'. As a part-time track car, I think the S2k makes a good compromise.
The only thing I find increasingly annoying is the lack of interior storage compartments. And I have the 03 model which has 'extra' storage compartments over the 99-01's. It does have an average glovebox in the middle of the driver/passenger seats, with a small compartment on top of that...but if you intend on using your phone/handsfree...it'll probably find its place inbetween your legs, or wedged in the coin compartment...where it'll get in the way of 2nd-4th shifts
Apart from that, I LOVE the car in every possibly way. The 9000rpm song is unbeaten by anything this side of a Ferrari...or perhaps an NSX ( I wouldn't know), it handles like a dream...point and shoot and it'll carve any corner like a hot knife through butter. Its very well balanced, with a slightly lively rear end for that extra bit of fun
Even the interior is pretty nice I think. The seats are beautifully crafted and very supportive, that 6spd gearbox is the smoothest & quickest short-throw you'll ever have the pleasure of shifting and I even like the Indy style digital readout. The powered drop-top is the quickest I've seen on a convertible too. As for the looks, well they're subjective...but I always thought the S2000 looked absolutely spankin'
Thats about it really, as for the torque gripe you hear all the time...I believe its been exaggerated and passed on by people who have never driven the car. Sure its no v8 off idle, but it'll move away from traffic below vtec quick enough to beat most cars out there. The boot space is limited too, owing to design...but its still big enough to haul groceries or light luggage.
So there you have it...but don't take my word for it, go out for you own test-drive and see for yourself. To me the S2K is one of the greatest cars I've ever had the pleasure to drive/own. Its so 'driver-involving', perhaps even moreso than my ITR. However you might find it the most horrible, unnecessary piece of machinery in the history of the automobile hehe...so who knows? Test drive it and see...

I love my S2k...its my daily driver and I have no regrets.
I love the motor, the styling, interior, and its handles like a dream, except for the fact I got the car used with 205s on all 4 wheels, bleh. But the car is awesome, I do hate the plastic rear window, I dont like the carpeting around the shift knob (leather console cover fix) and i dont like the stock sound system (high standards =D)
Hey im 6'3" 210lbs...and i fit fine, so no worries!
