What does an S2K have to have to spank an //M3 Roadster?

Just wondering. There are lotsa //M Roadsters around here. I'm currently having serious thoughts of getting an S2000. I've found one in Delaware that I may be able to pick up. We shall see. $30,369 OUT the door. 2002 Black with 598 miles on it.
Current car is a Silver Acura 3.2 CL-S. Intake and comptech headers.

When I just sit and think of the test drive I took in the S2000, it automatically makes me wanna bust out laughing. That car is AMAZING!

CLARIFICATION //M ROADSTER, NOT //M3.

Depending on which //M roadster you're talking about, might not be too much. However, the newest model with the S54 engine is a beast in a straight line.

You sound like you really enjoyed your S2000 test drive. Why not just get the car and enjoy it for what it is?

That said, if you're really worried about the ///M's, you can choose your poison - turbo or supercharger. Several packages available you can read about for ~$5k all over this site and add almost 100hp peak power. Couple that with a 4.44 or 4.77 (for the really adventurous) rear end gear and you'll have a blast I'm sure.

In an autocross, with a good driver, it needs nothing. That has been proven many times.

i don't like this kind of question.
no offense, but I think if the S is modded... then the M has to be modded as well.

In my pathetic excuse for an opinion, i think you're looking for a way to tell yourself that an S is better than an M. (it might be... but who cares?) why don't people just enjoy what they have? It's like the difference between winning the billion dollar lottery and the trillion dollar lottery..... one of them is 100 times better but try telling that to the guy with the billion dollars...

$30,369 is a steep price for a 2001, even with that low mileage.

$30K for a 2001 doesn't seem like much of a deal to me. I got mine new in '02 for that.

Oops, sorry about that Rick, its a 2002. I made sure to have that rear glass instead of plastic.
