I chose the 3.0L V6 but I wouldn't want that exact setup... I was thinking more along the lines of...

2.5L I-6 with the 280 hp so that the RPM could possibly be bumped up to around 8000 RPM.

But of course... the F22C is doing me wonders and I love it. I only feel a little iffy on those damn humid, hot days... but what engine loves that?

no It wouldn't. porsche, audi, BMW make f6, v8, v10s that bust the 8000rpm barrier. Nothing short of a 4.0 V8 with 8500 rpm redline, making 450hp at 8000 would satisfy me

In fact, Mercedes already has that, maybe other manufactuters also... Here is an extract... " The CL600 goes further with a new 6.0-liter V12 rated at 363 hp.
