what exactly is a test pipe?

whatever it is, I have no problem getting a little backfire in the exhaust and shooting a flame. Of course this doesn't happen while on the gas though.

if i remember correctly, running a car with a test pipe and that "STINKY" smell is actually bad for your brain.... it's almost like inhaling the fumes at a gas station.

Not sure if there is much improvement found on the hondas with the test pipe. Back in the 70's and 80's the converters were much more restrictive and also tended to be clogged after 5 years. Back then if you wanted to test the converter you installed this pipe... some of the older cars just has a preconverter plug to pull.
