Kind of a nerdy question that doesn't really matter but after seeing my car was built in 6/03 it made me wonder, is that the last month they built the ap1 with the ap2 presumably being for sale on dealer lots by the end of 2003?

Let me know if you have one built in 7/03 or later!

I had to wait until 9/26/2003 to pick mine up because it was on the assembly line when I signed the sales agreement on 8/19/2003. The sticker in the door jamb confirms an 08/2003 build date.

Technically the AP1 was produced through 2009, since the AP2 was only sold in North America and Japan.

The first US MY04s (AP2s) arrived in dealers in mid/late October '03, about a month later than usual for the new model-year cars. That means production probably began in September.

The last 2003 VIN that's recognized as valid by American Honda's website is #7866. So if anyone (maybe Conedodger??) has an MY03 with a VIN close to that, they could check their build date and let us know.
