Default What is the going rate on a 2003 S2000

Ok, some of you have just purchased their cars within the past two months. Will you share the following:

1. What did you pay for it without tax and license?

2. Did you take HONDA(factory only) finance or lease options, if so can you share some of the details(% rate, term, payment, downpayment)?

3. Did you have your choice of colors? Was there apparent availability at that dealer or was it "take what we have only"?

4. Are you satisfied with the car after ownership?

5. City and state you made the purchase in.

I am not interested in who got the best deal or what your personally are paying...but rather general information on the market, as I am about to enter into it in the San Francisco Bay Area, obviously info specfic to that area would be of the most help, but I am open to travel hundreds of miles to save thousands of dollars.

Thanks in advance, I am interested in this information from any part of the country.

Purchased 12/20/02

1. $30,000

2. Honda Finance, 3.49% for 60 months, $17,500 downpayment, $288/month

3. Grand Prix White and Silverstone were available at the time. I specifically wanted white which is why I ended up at that dealership. You get the best deals on cars that are already on the lot vs. special ordering a color. Research color availability on www.hondacars.com for the dealership in your area and go to the one that has the color you want on the lot.

4. 99% completely satisfied...want a hardtop

5. Houston, TX

1) Picked mine up on 3/11/03. $31,500

2) Financed through Honda. $9,200 down, 5.75% for 6yrs.

3) One dealership had my second choice (silverstone/black) and the other dealership had to arrange a trade for my first choice which I had never seen in person so was a little leary. (silverstone/red). I could've gotten the same deal for my first choice, but I didn't want to wait for it and I was beginning to worry about not liking the all red.

4) I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. My last car was a '97 Integra LS. It was pretty nice, but it doesn't hold a candle to my S!

5) I bought it from Fox Honda in Aubern, NY. About 20 mi. west of Syracuse.

I know this is dumb,.. but whats the difference between a credit union and a bank? Would I need to open up an account with them first like a checking account? Or would I just do and apply for a loan?
