What happen to camaraderie with S2000
I use to drive around and other S2000 use to wave or rev up on me. I miss that and so do my friends who ride in my car. We should renew our friendship on the road and give a nice wave, rev, highbeam, etc.
I always do that. I met another owner yesterday who stopped me in traffic to ask a question about a mod I had.
As the user base grows though, it's getting diluted from its original "enthusiast" leanings and the general public doesn't "get it" the way some of the original owners did. That's my 2 cents anyway.

I agree......I pretty much know most of the areas owners, and now the 04s are popping up, and those people seem to be kind of indifferent. I still honk, highbeam, thumbs up, to any s2k I see. I for one will not let this friendship die. NEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
I wish I had the chance! I've owned my S for right at a year now and although she's not a daily driver I've only seen one other S while driving her* ( I was sitting in a turn lane and they blew by me from behind). Can't believe it.
When I actually get a reasonable chance to acknowledge a fellow S owner while driving they will probably think I'm some kind of nut case because of the way I'll act.
* This doesn't include the times I've participated in Dragon events.

Well....to quote a movie...."If you do it they will follow"
Who says one person ant change the world?!? The sad thing is I look like a freak when I wave from teh truck or Eclipse!!! I expecially felt bad when I waved at a couple from the truck. Dont want the guy to get in trouble!!!

If they don't wave back, I bust a U-turn and chase them down, run them off the road, and forcefully (usually at gunpoint) make them return the polite hello. It usually takes some extra persuasion.
funny thing....I did that once. I waved and they didnt, so hubby and I turned around to meet them (have been crossing paths for a month before). We were gonna give them one of our S2Ki cards.
We flipped it and went after them. I guess we freaked them out cuz they were all scared
Needless to say they never called us

This is great timing.
On our Toys for S2000s - SoCal run this weekend we met a new owner and recruited him to S2KI.
QuikS2K just mentioned a S2KI card. What is that? We really need something we can hand to new owners that have not heard of our site. Even if we just had an image posted that we could print at home/work, that would help.
There are alot of new owners out there. While the hardcore enthusiasts may already have their S, the noobs deserve to see the light as well.

Saturday, just before the snow storm arrived, I noted a Spa "S" parked at the DuBois Mall. You don't know how much I wanted the owner to show up. Just to let him know I noticed!
By the way, who ever you are, if you read this - nice wheels. Around this part of the woods, there just arn't very many S2000's, so if you see a Formula Red in the DuBois - Brookville area - the not waving his arms - shouting flashing his lights - honking the horn is just me.
I wonder if you can do a "James Bond" mod on the car - a couple of machine guns would help.

You make a good point. I was just over on the market place looking for any S2KI type items that would help identify members on the road. Seems to me that there use to be S2KI license plate holders available. Does anyone know if they are still out there?
