Well if you take the cover off the spare, the tire, and tools out, I fit 2 large suitcases and a couple duffle bags in it. Also able to fit a 5'9" girl . It helps when you let a woman pack it. Surprisingly it isnt that bad.
100%

If you are traveling alone or moving a big package, you'd be amazed how much room you'll have when you pull the passenger seat out - it is only 4 bolts.

AAA, Tow Truck, Fix-A-Flat, Carry a Plug kit. How far would you like to drive on that donut with 18" wheels? - in revhi's and my case.

It holds my garmet bag, and golf clubs, so its big enough for me. I put girls in the passenger seat, btw.

I've been on a few weekend trips with a passenger. Plenty of room, even with the tool kit and the spare tire. You have to make good use of the sunken space, though. Put a duffle bag or, ideally, a small suitcase in the sunken spot. Then you have room for a larger suitcase on top of that and a few miscellaneous items in the nooks and crannies.

You don't have a lot of room to buy stuff while you're away and bring it back in the car. That may or may not be a bad thing. "Sorry honey, we just don't have room for that very expensive thing that I don't really like anyway".

2 golf bags fit just fine.
That middle sunken area holds carryon luggage pefectly. Anything bigger goes in the passenger seat. Whenever I buy something big, the passenger ends up holding it. hehehe
