I've gone through like 10 different headsets. I recently bought an Eclipse head unit with built in bluetooth and it seems work ok at best.

i've tried the jawbone 2. totally sucked with my treo (could have been the treo). also tried the blueant z9 and a few plantronics. bluetooth and top down just didn't work for me.

i use a ghetto looking headset from theboom.com. best incoming and outgoing sound quality hands down. i can blast the stereo and the other end can't tell i have the stereo on.

I think your best bet for top down driving will be this:

Though I know everyone's going to complain about how big & bulky it is. However, you other choice is to only talk with the top up or while stopped/out of the car.

Some comments on the B250 for those that are Google-impaired:

Not sure what the Jawbone 2 is, but the first Jawbone doesn't work well even with the top up. I kinda gave up talking on the phone while driving.

Jawbone 2 works better than my original JB1. When in a very loud situation (driving in a tunnel with top down) you need to speak very loud for the system to pick your voice out of all the noise. It works well, just adjust your volume of speaking when it is needed.

But if you read his post, you'd see that his main assertion is "I can see this as being great for whom ever you are calling but you yourself will have to listen to the noise of the top being down." Which is why he claims that no unit will work, even with an effective noise cancellation system.
Um, ok?!?!?

Has anyone tried the Joby Zivio?

Big thread on it over on howardforums, but only one other person has used it, and IIRC, that was in a BMW convertible of some sort (which have pretty effective wind blockers).

Jawbone. My friend has one and it does a really good job in making the audio input and output very clear. It cancels wind noise nicely too.
