I immediately try to visually take in the entire road and surrounding area in front of me. I make a note of the gear I'm in, make sure I'm comfortable, and that I have a firm grip on the wheel and shift knob. Then it's eyes on the gauges and on the road; I can almost look at both at the same time now...

I've never driven a car that is as involving as the S.

 

I scan the area, hoping not to see any red flashing lights other than the one on my dash!
