Did that once on another car. At 15,000 kilometers, I could scrape the SLUDGE out from under the the valve cover with a tablespoon. But, maybe you'd like to find out the hard way like I did.

BTW I have 3700kms and am using Valvoline 10W30. Im going to switch to Mobil 1 10W30 at 8000kms.
From what I understand, Honda once said to use 5W-30, but changed it to 10W-30. An owner may have warranty issues if they don't use the proper weight.

You didn't say how many miles you have on your car. Some people have suggested synthetic motor oil. If you have less then 7,500 miles you should only use regular oil, not synthetic. Honda states for normal temperatures 10w-30 should be used. If you check a bottle of Honda motor oil at your dealership, you'll see it is made by Mobil. It's probably Mobil's Drive Clean motor oil.

5W-30 is recommended for cold weather climates and using it will NOT void one's warranty. Please...for those who believe this idioms are true, may I point you to the Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act. It makes for a great read, especially for those who modify their automobiles as I and others do. FWIW, Royal Purple 5W-30 is my oil of choice and the best I have ever used...even better than RedLine. I do a LOT of short trips so the normal 7,500 break-in point is being reduced to 6K and at that point, all fluids will receive a Royal Purple cocktail, including the tranny oil.
