what makes a good driver
esp on a s2k? is it how someone follows the "line" or how someone can stay just under the limit of the car without losing control?
how do you define a good driver who uses the s2k to it's potential?

A good driver is someone that knows the limits of the vehicle he is driving, knows the limits of the course he is driving on and has the ability and coordination to apply it to the road.
There are those that can break it down for you on paper, by talking, with diagrams and videos........and then there are those that can actually DO it.
If you consider Driving as a Sport, then there are limitations to ones ability, defined by each persons own God given talent.
Basically meaning, not everyone can be a "Good" driver, even with training.
It involves eye, hand, foot coordination with the ability to multi-task all at the same time.
Some people can't even dribble a basketball.... so what does that tell you?

A good performance driver to me is someone who is very quick without lots of drama. IE, smooth.
A good street driver is someone who never gets in dangerous situations. As opposed to the driver who thinks he is good because he has made miraculous saves from the dangerous situations he regularly gets into. You know who you are

A good driver to me is one who can plan ahead to see his/her personal optimal line and then place the car with pinpoint accuracy on the line. Ultimately precision and smoothness are essential to minimize wear on the car and to always have control over it. A good driver doesn't blast around the streets or backroads at warp 9; they know that unexpected things happen on the street and always have a safety margin such that they can stop if a car broke down around the blind turn in the hills or a child steps out between parked cars. A good driver knows not only how to drive the car along its intended path, but also how to catch the car if for any reason it doesn't.
