what offset
I called a huge mail order company for some black 5zigen (2) 225/45/17)
(2) 245/45/17).....well anyways he asked me what kind of car i was going to put them on....when i told him a s2000 he said "nope......matter of fact we have no rims at all in our whole warehouse that would fit you cars offset".......this is from a company that quots on there web site the following: Wheel Max is the largest 5zigen dealer in the US!!.....................so my question is where can i find black 5zigens or any black rims that are the above size w/ offset needed for a s2k, also would you put bronze or black on a berlina s2k? ...... thnx for your time,
Dave
First you should learn a little about offsets. Here is some info.

Now you can calculate for yourself if the wheels are going to stick out beyond the fender or at least come close without other modifications to tire sizes, camber or fender rolling. The stock wheels are, front 16x6.5 +55 offset, rear 16x7.5 +65 offset. Here is some links with a list of fittable wheels and a good start off point to look at wheels and the manufacturers web sites.

Okay....let's say i drop the new rim idea and stick Michelin Pilots 255/50YR16 on the rear of my stock rims......i think i just want some thickness in the back.......would i have any issues w/ 255's
255/50R16 are about 26" in diameter, while the stock SO2 are 24.8" diameter. This will prop up the back end about 0.5", make the effective gearing about 5% taller and make the speedo read 5% faster and odo read 5% less than the stock setup. If that's OK with you then go for it.
245/45R16 is a better match in diameter to the 225/50R16 stock size. And just to confuse you more the stock 225/50R16 SO2 tires are unusually square and give about the same treadwidth of a lot of 245 width tires! So the rears might actually not be "wider" (for traction purposes) than the OEM SO2 tires.
Also, try to keep the front and back tires the same brand and make. Different tire types, and sizes will change the handling of the car. Depending on how different the traction is back to front it might not matter or make the car somewhat unstable.
