You must be really short. I have only one choice for seating position: seat as far back as it will go.
You must be pretty dang tall... I am 6'1" and with the oem seat as far back as it will go I can barely get the clutch in with my tippy toes if I stretch lol!

all kidding aside... For daily driving I set it so that I can depress all the pedals all the way while not having to completely straighten my leg, leaving me with a very slight bend at the knee with the pedal completely depressed...

then I recline the seat as far as I can while still being able to keep both hands on the wheel at any steering angle, without having to lean forward at all.

for autox/spirited drives I move slightly closer so there is a little more bend in my leg and adjust the seat back so that my wrists can rest on top of the wheel.

Here's my standard regime when someone messes with my seat to get it back to normal:

start with the seat pretty much straight up,
move the seat forward so that you can put your HEEL on the clutch pedal and you're still able to fully depress it to the floor.

Then with reclining, I always have it so that if I make a fist, the whole thing passes the steering wheel-- so basically the steering wheel is at your wrist. I've found that this is the best position for driving aggressively, and heel-toeing.

It's different for everyone though. Depends on your knee placement when you drive.

Oh, and I'm 5'11.
MINI shares your style as well:

the best thing abous driving in a so called racing position is that it increases you ability to react to situations,..such as an accident..not sure how much a 'gangsta lean' helps though haha

That's what I was thinking while reading through this. Finally a benefit to being a tall S2000 owner:

we don't have to think about our seating positions.

in the event of a rollover...the tops of our heads come off.

thank you everyone...i will try to adjust my seat to the "correct" position next time and see how that feels. my problem is though my right leg feels like it's too cramped even though my left leg has enough room for the clutch..but i'll see how that changes after i adjust the seat.

Far enough back so my knee doesn't hit the bottom of the dash when I let off the clutch pedal...
