Default What is the real market value of this car?

I'm in the market for a stock AP1 in great condition. I found this car, what do you think it is worth?

Thanks,

Tom

Well I think a 2004 with 30-40k mileage is worth 16.0k if that helps (because that one on ebay is 15.9 OBO for a '00)

I may be wrong, but I think it is a poor decision to buy a used car without know what you are buying. I took mine from one dealership to a honda dealership to have Honda give it a lookover before I bought mine (cost about $100 for the full inspection). You also want to observe things like how much wear the leather seats have from people getting in/out of the car and how scratched up the paint is and things like that.

yeah i would say if you can take a look at it personally since 00' with that low mileage should be looked at before purchase. also a test drive and a professional mech is the best way to get a readout of a used car. the 00 for close to 16k is kinda steep. i would look around but if really interested try meeting up to review the car

Two weeks ago I bought a 2008 with 2k miles for 22k if that helps your decision. It's winter, people are holding on to what money they have, cars are not selling. It's a buyer's market. Unless you can't live without this car I'd wait for a better deal.

If you are worried if the miles are true, check the pedals. People that turn back miles always forget pedal wear.

My only input is that the car looks mint. The driver's seat looks to be in outstanding condition for being an '00. Also the rear back window looks mint too. Not to say neither have been replaced or anything but if they are the originals, my guess is the owner took pretty good care of the car. The engine bay looks pretty spotless too.

As far as price, I agree with the others that you could probably get it for less especially seeing it's in Ohio and it's winter.

I'd want to see it in person and test drive it though. If you know your way around a car, I wouldn't pay $100 to have a mech look at it. That's just me though.

One of our local crew picked up an MY03 with half those miles (car is truly cherry) for $16k.

That's a really nice MY00, but today, probably worth $14k at the most.

my car is exactly like this, same year, color combo and everything, and mint, it had around 32k miles when i picked it up early in the summer, right before the economic meltdown. I paid 15k for mine in Chicago from a private owner.

This guys price is high compared to kbb, but if you read the fine print he is shipping it for the buy it now price, so he is only really asking 14,900 for it.

where are you located?

I'm in NY and looking for a mint AP1 like this. A guy near me is selling his black and black with 50k miles with a few paint imperfections and a hardtop right near me, I can get that one for 13k.

I can get this black on red one with stock wheels for 14,500 + ~400 shipping. I really like this color combo and he sent more pictures its really mint except for one tiny scratch. Is this too much? Is it worth driving 8 hours to see it?
