Default What to replace for maintaince with over 100k on the clock

I recently picked up a 2001 ap1 with 111k miles on it. I'm replacing and upgrading the clutch, fly wheel, ap2 intake retainers. My iacv is extremely corroded beyond repair but still functioning "alright" so far, but thats getting replaced as well. Any suggestions on what to replace or up upgrade while i have the head work being done? Or any other parts you can think of with out actually taking apart everything on the engine? Your help is much appreciated. I am not new to working on cars since I have owned an evo 8 and an sr20det 240SX in the past. Again thanks for your help. I am a honda noob...

Go with a stock clutch, unless you are planning on boost. Do some research here and you'll understand. Many issues with aftermarket clutches, and the stock stuff is excellent.

Do a valve adjust, change plugs, change all your fluids, including coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid, and of course oil, trans and diff.

Torque your rear axle nuts.

Also, check out the thread for new owners. All the info you need to know is there.

Also, be prepared for minor issues such as the coil pack clips breaking(there are cheap replacements). I would also get a tube of shin etsu grease and hit up every rubber seal around the cabin. Err...there are plenty more to check on but car analogy is right on the money.

Might want to get underneath and Shin etsu all the CV boots on diff and drive shaft too - keep those rubbers nice and soft and flexible. Replace any that may be cracked.

check for suspension play. remove the drive belt and check the pulleys and alt bearings. check engine mounts. take a look at how the brakes are wearing. check for leaks. just give a good once over.

Thanks for all the fast replies! My battery died cause the harsh AZ conditions and when that happened it cause my a/c compressor to blow cause it could not move the pressure from the Freon. I have a compressor and a H/O alternator in the mail as i type. that way if there is another battery failure the alternator is more than sufficient to prevent further electrical problems if that ever occurs again. I am in the process of fluid changes, so far i got the diff and transmission done. Oil, clutch, brake and coolant or getting done tomorrow. I might wait on the clutch fluid since I all ready have the clutch, PP, FW, tb bearing and pilot bearing waiting to be put in.

Make sure to use Honda OEM oil filter, and to torque it the required 7/8 turn, as stated on filter.

Are you using Honda clutch and Honda throw out bearing? Real Honda parts, not parts from some other vendor misleadingly marked 'OEM'? If not, do some research on this forum before you waste more time and money installing parts you will be replacing soon.

All I use is original Honda parts don't worry (: Both bearings are genuine Honda parts. I'm not looking for cheap alternatives for anything on my s2k! Only real parts every time.
