After research, I decided on an AP2. It's just a more refined and sorted car with less quirks.

Don't worry too much about AP1 vs AP2. Buy the car in the best condition in your price range.

This. End thread.

All S2000's are great. Older, well cared for S2000's are simply a better value for your money.

first of all welcome! what helped me decide was exterior looks, and the subtle changes to the interior that were made which i preferred. the s2k was also my first RWD car, and i must say it is quite tricky from time to time especially while driving on anything but bone dry pavement. definitely a huge driving adjustment. still learning and adjusting every day after only owning mine for four months now. my only gripe about the ap2 is that i feel it runs out of revs kinda quickly in lower gears, but with the EDM AP2 redline at 9k that problem is solved! hope this helps, and good luck!

alright, sorry... long morning. Welcome to the site and i hope you find a good s2k and take care of it.

I have only owned an AP1, i got a crazy deal on a low on a AP1 that is in show room condition. I would drive a few cars and look around until you find what you like as far as color and condition.

I would not buy a modified car unless you know the current owner and know how he treats the car.

They are all great cars, enjoy learneding about them
