Default What is a s2000 TSB?

I have a 2001 honda s2000 that have the annoying clutch buzz. I just came along a thread about some guy getting his clutch replaced because of a TSB 00-054 for the 2001 honda s2000.

They also said the tsb has nothing to do with the warranty. You don't need to have or to be in a warranty.

So.... does that mean I can go to a local honda dealership and they will replace my clutch? Granted i am coming 9 years after it was made, but my clutch is not slipping or anything.

So any input? What is a TSB? Is it like a recall? I know it stands for technical service bulletin, but does that mean itll be replaced for free?

Let me know guys.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin. It just means that there were a number of complaints about a specific item and can be a common issue for the technicians. It is NOT a recall.

Some dealerships will honor TSBs as recalls although those are few and far between. You have a 9.9% chance of being turned down for a free replacement of the clutch just for the clutch buzz issue.

Please see the pinned topic titled "Common S2000 Problems/Solutions (1999-2009)" in the Under the Hood forum for a copy of that and other TSBs.
