Default What shoes do you cruise or race with?

Just curious as to what you have on your feet when you are out cruising or racing? Do you prefer one type of shoes or style? running, dress, casual. and what company etc/

Vans work really well. at least for me.

I'm planning on getting a pair of Sparco racing shoes. And planning on doing a GB on Sparco gloves & shoes, so let me know if you are interested.

I wear converse hi-tops, because they're cheap and the soles are flat, thin and rubbery so you can feel the pedals really well in them.

I suppose they're the closest thing to not wearing any shoes at all.

Usually my Donna Karan 5" black high-heeled pumps, but unfortunately when I downshift, it puts a run in my stockings...

Ferrari Replica Shoe. Extremely comfortable, and sticks to the pedals. Highly Recommended.

I'm sure it is Vincent, but in public it looks more like a clown shoe! (no offense, it was just a big controversy on the ferrari boards)

a cheap alternative to a racing shoe would be wrestling shoes.

Really? I hadn't read anything. Can you point me to the board you are talking about? I'm curious.

I like Johnston & Murphy Cotts Driving Moccasin:

I'm not sure if I can feel the pedals as well wearing shoes with thick soles.

The soles are not really that thick. The design makes it look that way when you view them from the side. When you have them on, it feels like you are wearing a second pair of socks.
