Angry what should i do

I just leased my brand new S about three days ago and my insurance just called and said that their original quote was wrong and that my insurance would be over $300 a month if they would even insure me!! My car payment is $400 a month so my total for the car is $700. My Income after taxes for a month is $1400. I'm 18yrs old and work full time, but don't know if i should try to get out of the lease or just stick to it. I dont pay rent or have any other bills besides a cell phone ($50), but think i might of just rushed into things too fast. I love the car to death, but i dont know if a year from now if I'm still going to love the payments! Let me know your opinions! thanks

Welcome to my life. $600 for the car included insurance per month + rent + cost of living = the suck. Also I drive 25 miles to work each day, and lets face it the gas mileage in this thing isn't great. Don't get in over your head, which my fiance, i'd be in trouble.

If you can get out of it, do it. It'll prolly cost ya some dough to give the car back though.

What is the deal with your insurance company? They seem to have a habit of accidently under quoting customers, then they say, "well, your premium is actually going to be closer to x amount"

The question isn't, are you still going to love the payments a year from now? It should be, Where do you want to be in life 2-3 years from now?

You can't live at home forever, unless your parent's own a mansion

my insurance called and left a message saying that when they gave the quote they thought it was my brother, but how can you give someone a quote without knowing their name ? i called and they said $180 now all of a sudden its over $300 bc they didnt know it was me! how much do you think it would cost to give the car back?

You are not telling us the whole story here. So you went for a car shopping and got the car without finding out what the insurance would cost? or you thought it would be only 180 then now they are telling you that it would be more than 300 if they can insure you?

I knew insuring S2000 was expensive but didn't know it was that expensive.

Well, that sucks for you. And I have to say whom ever leased the 30k car to 18 year olds who makes 1400/month is a moron!

Good luck with your case.

Most contracts have a "no cool off" clause which prevents you from withdrawing from the contract. You should review the contract you signed and check for this; if it's there you're pretty much stuck with it. One thing you might try is checking other insurance companies for a quote - try unitrindirect.com, they actually have some really good rates as well as esurance.com

I think some kind of bad credit rating could be enforced if you couldn't secure insurance...
