What should I do?!
Just redirect anything from their IP off to some porn site somewhere. They'll get sick of it sooner than later.
Imagine ... they are bitchin' 'cause they aren't allowed to a) steal your image, b) have it hosted on your server for free & c) because you are doing routine maintenance work on your own server that affects their illegaly linked image

You know, the more that I thought about what River Oaks Honda did, the more it irks me...I was really steamed by that email that they sent C3! What BALLS!! So I drafted a little note...check it out, should I send it?
Let me give you a little background. In order to market your car, you used, without permission, a photograph of my S2000. Yes, MY S2000. You not only used the photograph without authorization, you linked to OUR server, in essence, we became a host for your picture so that you could market your S2000. Had you asked me beforehand, I would have said fine, no big deal. But in typical Honda dealer fashion, you were underhanded and deceptive. Then your character (or lack thereof) is truly revealed in the email that you sent, which, btw, has been seen by thousands...and as if you can imagine, it does not reflect favorably upon you. And the not-so-veiled threat that you made against us is telling...but frankly, it does not have any of us worried. You seem to be a completely ineffective salesperson, so computer/internet hacker? Nah, I don't think so...
It's a shame that a spectacular car like the S2000 has to be represented by dealerships like yours. There are honorable and decent Honda dealers out there, but behavior like yours does little to improve what is already a deservedly tarnished image.
Boo hiss to you River Oaks Honda. You really goofed up...! Next time, ask me if you want to use a photograph of my car, except then I will say no!
We had a little fun with you though, thanks for the laughs!!
Warm Regards,
Greg Stevens

I strongly recommend that c3 make RiverOaks management, as well as the zone rep (or even higher) aware of this.
I think a nice letter to American Honda is warranted. I can't even tell you how badly I would flip out if some Honda sales guy told me go f*ck myself. He would be out of a job in a hurry.

Wow, "go f*** yourself"! Now them err fight'n words. This needs to be taken to the ownership River Oaks dealership and to Honda NA. Don't screw around with moron sales guys. However, if C3 would like, we could flood his e-mail with complaints and... I'm in. Any others?
The laughs will never stop! I can not believe this all started. Looks like they got some serious problems over there. Thing is.......how do you prove all this was true? Aside from our statements. Its been changed now....anybody print this out?
They will probably just deny it or say you guys hacked the sight.
All in all DAMB FUNNY!!!

River Oaks Honda is owned by Napleton Automotive Group.
Contact data for River Oaks Honda is:
1901 River Oaks Drive
Calumet City, Illinois 60409
(708) 868-0100
Corporate Parent (Napleton Automotive Group) is:
17W240 22nd St
Suite 312
Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181
My suggestion... I'm sure there is a lawyer on the list (or Greg, I'm sure you can find a friend who is one). Get them to draft a cover letter (on their letterhead) about this issue (history, etc.). No need to threaten or demand, the letterhead will be enough.
Print out the email received. Attach to the cover letter.
Send to River Oaks Honda, cc to corporate parent and to Honda America (suggest you make sure that the letter to River Oaks indicates the fact that it is cc'ed etc).
I would probably send to the General Manager at River Oaks, the President at the corporate parent and then the National Sales Manager and the VP, Corporate Communications at Honda America.
Note... this will probably end up costing the person who sent the email their job. Your call as to whether or not that's the goal... Personally, I think anyone who is in a customer facing role and pulls a stunt like this is in the wrong business.
