Don't waste your time with all of the above mentioned crap (except the driving school) and most certainly don't even consider wasting your money on a VAFC, it's a total waste.

The best bang for your buck is by far, a V1.
what a worth less statement. a properly tuned VFAC will give you more power than any intake will ever give. the stock intake with a KN filter will save your low end tq and give you better flow. and intake is the biggest waste of money on a s2k. 200 bucks for 3whp, uh no. i made 8whp from my VFAC and made 13rwhp at 8700 rpm! the cars pull hard all the way to redline, power never tapers off like a stock car will.

contrary to what people will say, a wise chioce of I/H/E will give you up to 15whp. add a test pipe and tuned vfac, bam power! my 02 baseline 195whp...after a few well chosen mods.......220+rwhp. my car is making 189rwhp at 8700 rpm. a stock s2k is only making 160 some at the rpm.

bottom line, tune the car the way you want to. see what works and what doesnt. we can all chime in and give our thoughts on what works and what is a waste of money. thats because we all do things differently, and everyone one on this site has a nice car so it doesnt matter which way you choose to go! just have fun!

Oh, hell no.

Although I think I owned a V1 intake for about... a day.

Along with a VAFC and a VAFCII.
