I was taking photos of our fellow S2000ers up in the Gettysburg observation tower when I saw this strange creature among our friends. What do you suppose it is?

More on the biggest regional S2000 event ever will be coming today from the 100 or so drivers along for the day, I'm sure. We had perfect weather and a great drive!

That's a looong lens you have, my friend. Too long!

As for what it is, I don't know but there were a lot of them around Lehigh University 30 years ago in my student days.

Well I thought it was the moon, but then I suddenly went blind from the whiteness. So I am guessing it was the sun

Looks like all had a great time. Any events like that happen out here in SoCal?

Must be some combination of the following:

a. S2000's
b. S2000 owners
c. cameras
d. meets of over 50 S2000's

That makes those creatures come out. I remember seeing one at Asheville Days also!!

A clear case of "ruining the ambience of the park" if I've ever seen one...

I think the ranger found out.

Yea the gleam off that left ass cheek would give ya a burn if exposed to it to much.

That creature actually showed up 4 times!!! Only on the last time it showed up did it actually get photographed.
BTW: Thats me in the white next to it. It showed up and dissapeared very quickly!

Though it does seem that the leaves were not the only things DROPPING at Gettysburg.
