I've always wondered why those are there and what they're for. They seem like they'll break easily in my awesome town with awesome roads with awesome huge pot holes and lots of road works with 2-3 inch drops and bumps.

They're part of the car's aero believe it or not. Apparently they divert air around the front wheels, rather than over the wheel and into the wheel well, effectively decreasing lift at high speeds. I believe the general consensus is: they're important, don't remove them.

I remember reading a thread about this a while back, try doing a search if you need more info.

I've seen some without them, but most people that didn't had aftermarket bumpers and were lowered.

If they ever do break, are they replacable?

I could have done a search but I had no idea what to search, haha.

Thanks, found a good thread, for some reason I thought searching front bumper flaps wouldn't get me anything, but I guess it does, haha.

Cheers,

Ryan

I took mine off because they look horrible, yes they are replacable, they have two screws holding them on. And since I won't be doing any high speed runs amytime soon.....

I'd keep them. Even the amuse bumper includes their own since you take off the stock ones. I dont think they'd break, theyre really soft. I scraped them all the time after I was lowered.
