I was just curious there is a single hole in the front brumper, offset to the right side, and there is also one on in the back. What are they for?

Tow Hook Atachments... Look in your "tool box". You will see a bolt with a closed loop at the end. You will screw it in that hole to tow/pull the car out.

HTH...

Hopefully you'll never need to use it.

I suggest you check out your owner's manual. There are some things about this car that are fairly unique. Be sure to pay special attention to the section on changing a tire.

tool box? I didn't get no stinking tool box.....

seriously, I got mine last night, and all I got was a lug nut thingie. What else was I supposed to get?

Also, I read somehwhere here that there are "mud flaps" on the rear? I got no such thing.

Furthermore, I read about rubber spring covers or some such, and how they are supposed to be removed by the dealer. How can I check that they did this? Where do I look?

Where do you keep your lug nut thingie? (you can tell I'm a serious car guy, huh? ) Mine was in the top center compartment, but it rolls around and makes noise.

Thanks!

1. In the trunk, inside the "well" remove the cover (it is just laying in there) there is a "tool box" under that,

2. I wrapped my wheel lock key in a small rag and placed it in there.

3. Look inside and behind the wheels until you see the springs. If there are black rubber things in there that look like buck teeth, then take it back and have them removed. Otherwise, you are cool.

4. There is a thread at the top of this forum titled FAQ. There is a tremendous wealth of information there for people new to the s2k. With over 60,000 S2000s sold since their introduction, you must realize that you are not the first to ask these questions. Some very intellegent people took time to answer these questions (several times usually) but it can get tiresome answering them over and over again.

Overall the most importing things to remember are these:
1. Do not go over 5500 RPM for the first 600mi
2. Check the oil EVERY time you fill up with gas. The car will burn oil for roughly the first 10,000mi. This is normal.
3. HAVE FUN!
