Default What is the top speed?

I have read many posts on here about top speed. I personally have had my car over 150 mph and still pulling. However it looks as if all the magazine reviews says the top speed is 150mph. Did Honda release this number?

Do a search, there is a video of one going about 168 mph.

It seems that we all agree that top speed is probably just above 160mph in most environments.

I am just wondering where all the car web sites and magazines are getting that top speed of 150mph. I think 160mph would be a closer estimate.

With just over a thousand miles on my S2K it would only go to 153. With about 6,000 miles on the clock (if I remember correctly) I got 161 twice, but it wouldn't budge off of that. It had RPM left, but no oomph. I have 11K on her now, maybe I'll try again since the car seems stronger now than ever before. I had a local police officer radar me so I could see the real speed vs indicated speed difference, but it was only 1mph (reading fast) at 70. There is probably more error at high speeds, but the officer said that from his experience, it was probably no more than a 5 mph, even at high speeds.

The mags just used the number Honda gave them as an estimate, NONE of them did the test themselves.
