Default What we might have been driving

Just out of curiousity what other cars did everyone test drive before buying their s2k?

Mine are:

'00 Ford Mustang GT
'01 Audi TT Roadster 180hp(would not be able to afford the 225)
'02 Acura RSX S-Type
'01 Accord Coupe V6

Nothing. I had my eye on the S for almost a year and decided if I could ever get one at MSRP I'd buy it.

I wanted the S2000 from the moment I saw it in a picture from the Auto Show! Actually. . .at first the S2000 was a second car for me! I was driving a '00 Honda Accord Coupe EXVL! Man, I loved that car! I had it on a lease and turned it in just about 3 months ago now!

I always drive my S2000 and I do not plan on buying anything else (as far as a primary car) until later on! When I turned my Accord Coupe in, I was going to lease another one but decided that I hardly drove my last one. . .plus my new job does not require so much traveling!

I'll probably get a '90 or '91 Prelude to drive around on "off" days! I have always like those. . .I used to have an '88 Prelude! So nice then!

I was all set to buy a 2000 Silver/black Viper RT/10 but my fiancee at the time (now my wife) said absolutely no because it was ugly as hell...

Oh well.

My S2000 was a total impulse purchase. Prior to our marriage (we got married on April Fools Day, this year) Suz and I went to Carmax to look for the Z3 she wanted. I couldn't fit without hitting my head so she didn't buy it. In the showroom was my car. I suggested she try it. She said, "I can't afford that." I said, "Well, I can!" and that was that.

i almost got a saab viggen convertible. Did not wanna wait 8 weeks for it so i was on my way back to BMW to get a 330 conv. when i saw a the truck parked on the side of honda dealership with 2 s2000's a red and a silver. I pulled in, sat in the silver. the sales manager let me drive his 2000 s2000 and came back 4 hours later and picked up my silver/black : )

I still wanna test drive a saab viggen, i only got to test drive the regular 9-3 conv.
the day before i went to Saab and Honda, i went to ford and test drove a mustang GT,what a piece of turd compared to the s2k....(just my opinion)

I actually fell in love with the S2000 while helping a friend car shop. Looked at (for him) the Z3 2.3/2.8/M (didn't like styling), TT (slow), Boxster ($$$), and a few other sporty cars. He ended up with an RSX type S, I got the S2000.

For a 2nd car (which I have been thinking about with my S going into storage soon), the list would be: Audi S4, BMW 330xi, RSX Type S, TL/CL Type S, Accord EX V6. The new A4s look really nice and sound to be a pretty good car (best in class?), so I'm thinking the 2003 S4 is going to kick ass, so I'll hold out for that.

Acura CL type S...but beleive it or not I don't fit into them...not enough head room. Lots of head room in the S.
