what would it take?
It would be a very difficult decision for me to turn in my S2K for another car. I've always had cars which were all-round equal to, or better than the one I had before. My next car would have to be really special to equal the performance, handling, and looks of the S2K. At the moment, I don't see any other car out there that I would want in preference to my S2K - and that includes the NSX, BMWs, or Porsches. I just love this car. It gives me way too much fun and satisfaction!
I always feel kind of depressed when I read posts from people who are turning their cars in for something "better". To me, that usually reads "pricier" or "with a better heritage". It's sad to realize that, for some people, the thrill and fun of the S2K only lasts such a short year or two, and then that fun is gone forever. Everytime someone on this board does a post to say they're selling their baby, it's like losing another member of our family.

Actually, with resepct to my post, I'd probably keep this AND get a 360. This car is just so damn comfortable and easy to drive, not to mention a kick in the a$$. The 360 is more visceral, but I think it would wear on me to drive it every day.
Exactly what's happened...
A little girl on the way.
As of now, the S2000 is the only car (of 3) that I'm having to make any payments on. My wife needs a new car now, and neither of my cars are very child friendly (the other one is a '92 civic hatchback). It may be time to trade the stook (and the civic)for a more practical vehicle (I definitely DO NOT want 3 car payments).
I'm still reviewing my options.

Can't really think of any reason that I would sell the car. We bought ours while saving for a wedding and knowing that we would be going to grad school in the next 24 momths. Sure, it's not practical for that, but when else are we going to be young, fun, and without kids to worry about?
I guess if something catastrophic hit and I either could't work anymore or lost the use of my legs.
I think even if I hit the lottery, I would keep the car. Of course, I might buy another toy or two, but I would keep the stook.
