Until recently, Honda's F1 cars were white.......they've since lost their minds and went from being one of the more beautiful cars on the F1 grid to the most hideous car out there.
However.............this does not mean that you have to lose your mind as well.
... I chose Black - love it & love to take care of it. It is not much harder than any other dark color and easy if you have a garage. I also chose to do a full interior swap 'cause I like the luxo combo of Black & Tan.
I like the newer GPW's with Black & now Black/Red interiors. I'm not a huge fan of the Tan interior in the GPW....but it's definitely hot in many eyes.
Personally, I got the black just because its a classic color. You can never go wrong with black or silver (classy colors imo) how ever black does get dirty pretty fast.
My whole family's garage is black: lx470, s500, m3, even the r6, so I had to keep my car in tradition.
I liked GPW too, I think it is one of the best colors for the s2k, but you can never go wrong with either.
However, I do wish I got silver just because CF parts on silverstone look incredible.
White for sure, when i was looking for an S i was deciding between silverstone and black, i thought white was ugly at the time.
now that i have had my silverstone for a while, i still love the color and im very happy with it, (it is just a little to common for me tho)
but i am very happy I didnt get black because It just looks to bland, it covers up the lines of the car to much and looks like crap if its not freshly washed and waxed 5 min ago.
and the white is now growing on my immensly and will probably be my next s2k,
I traded in my '01 GPW for an '05 berlina and the black is 10X the effort to keep looking good. When it is clean, berlina all the way, but it is amazing how much more work it is to keep perfect. Just depends on your cleaning schedule. I would have to say if I was going to do it again, I would have stayed white....but that one day a week the black is clean...damn.
