Default What Would You Do If You Caught Someone Breaking In To Your S2K?

We have been discussing alarms, vandalism and other negative topics here recently.

Now, let's talk about what youi should/would do if you caught someone ion the act of stealing, vandalizing, or otherwise violating your car.

Would you

1. call the police

2. Attack them if you thought you could prevail

3. confront them

4. do nothing

5. call the police, then delay them by offering tol help them "get into their car" or other tactic.

6. follow them to their home, then take revenge

7. scare them away

8. other

Just remember that you shouldn't take any serious chances here or be "macho stupid."

What would you do?

I am a big guy, 6'5 250LBS Rugby player, and I nearly always CC. So, chances are, I'd have him/her shitting their pants in about 15 seconds. =)

scrawny high schooler jacking my sunglasses -> beat the sh!t out of them

very large black man on pcp taking apart my steering my steering column -> call the police and run!!

i mean no racial disrespect by this comment either. its the truth. if i find my car being broken into its gonna be a case by case basis for reaction. i love my car, but im not willing to get stabbed in a parking garage over something that insurance would cover

Get the best look at them I could, for an accurate description, gather any other observations I can that could help ID them, then call the police. I'm sorry but its just a car, its not worth risking getting hurt, arrested, or otherwise in some kind of situation the could risk my career and such. Id rather just file an insurance claim, my life and career are worth a lot more than the car. The most I would do would be yell at them and hope that them knowing they'd been seen would make them run and minimize the damage.

So, I'm guessing you usually go top-down?

I'd be in jail pretty shortly.

I would have to be pulled off that person because I would not stop throwing punches otherwise.

I have invested way too much in my car. You want to mess with it? Cool. I will make sure the next time you are tempted to engage in such behavior you won't even think twice.
