Default What is wrong with my rear end

MY03 has a knocking sound on the rear right tire.

Everytime I go over a bump on that side it knocks. if I go over a bump like a speed bump(at a high speed) it does not make a noise, only if the right side is the only side that hits a bump do I hear this knocking sound

Is it shocks, camber or what?

I put 245/40/17 on the rear about 3 months ago and 215/40/17 up front
I also got an alignment on front and rear, the car has 48K on the clock, is a shock something that should go out this early?

Shock would be my first throught. Something loose would be my second. Car parts go bad when they feel like it. You may simply have run into a shock what wasn't assembled quite as well as all the others.

Make sure everthing was tightend up properly after the alingment.
Check the upper shock botls in the trunk.
(the driver side ones are hard to reach behind the fuel filler pipe)
Lugnuts are tightened to spec right?

not related to your noise but your front tires should be 215/45/17.

Honda will cover the damage under my extended warranty, the tech said that the offset of my wheels may be causing the problem.

The car has 49K and I put the new wheels on in July. The driver side rear squeaked instantly when I went over a big bump. The passenger side wheel just started knocking.

I asked how much they would affect the shocks and he said maybe 10%

17x7 in the front and 17x9 in the rear, I couldn't find the offset on my paperwork. I tried to post a picture of the rear of my car but I guess you have to be a member. The rear tires stick out wide and look very aggressive.
