Black is the best color hands down when clean. Its bold, sexy, and you won't get tired of it after time. Colors such as SPA/RIO Yellow and maybe Suzuka blue are reminiscent to adolescence and may grow old with time. Other colors such as white, red, and silver will always be favorites forever =D. I'm not biase at all though!

If you're performance oriented, i did hear that sebring silver is the fastest color from the factory =P.

I think black is the nicest when totally clean, which is only a day or two, if that, after it's been washed\waxed. I went with silverstone because it shows the lines of the car well and it always looks clean. Yellow\red are too "HEY EVERYONE, LOOK AT ME!!" GPW is also very nice, same deal as black though.

Euclid's post about the Spa Yellow is the best summary for me. All the colors are good for different reasons.

I'm in an interesting position because I debated almost every color over the 1.5 years I was considering buying an S2K. But I kept changing my mind. Quick summary:

Originally: NF Red. Love Red. My Acura CL Type S is red. So sexy. Decided that I didn't want two red cars.

Then . . . Suzuka. Why? Awesome color changing quality of the paint. At that time, thought it was subtle but still eye-catching.

Then . . . Black. Looked SO sleek and the picts on s2ki really made it shine. But when I saw one in person, sorry to say, it just didn't do it for me. Started to mull Red again.

FINALLY . . . Spa Yellow. I had discounted this color early on as being "too aggressive". But I saw a few in person and I fell in love with spa. It's just a bad ass eye-catching color -- no debate there. Side note: you'll notice most exotic car rental places have Spa Yellow S2Ks on hand. Ever wonder why?

I ran the whole gammit of colors. Even considered white a bit before spa yellow (my friend has a silver S2K, and for me, silver doesn't do it). I was so glad to find a spa at a great price. And then came to this conclusion:

"If you are considering Spa Yellow (ie, you realize that it isn't too aggressive a color for you), then it becomes the ONLY option. You have to decide whether you are a SPA person or not."

And I was.

And as a side note -- for those who think spa yellow is "too aggressive" on this car -- NO ONE has ever said to me, "wow, that's an aggressive color" but plenty have said, "I love the color you chose."

That's my sales pitch for Spa. But there isn't a bad combo color in the S2K house, if you ask me.

The S2K is bad ass in any color but I have yet to see anyone talk about the 04 Rio Yellow. Damn good color a little darker than spa and the Rio is so metallic that in the sun I am not sure if there is a better color but I could be partial. Anyways S2000 any color is a great car.

Ok...here is goes.....don't anyone get pissy....it's MHO.

Yellow: A very bold and flashy color. I considered it a couple of times and tried imagining myself in one.....I could do it....but not everyone can. There's a certain demographic that will want the yellow. That's the beauty of it. Like Suzuka....it's more rare. The paint has metallic flake that is visable up close. Fading and clear coat issues can impare it's beauty over time. The yellow will become faded. Certain angles and lighting the yellow has a very slight green tint. It fit's in well with the import scene and screams for attention. The color demands being modded!

Suzuka Blue: A rare and beautiful color but harder to color match when accessorizing. A very classy color that shows contours well. I've never seen a Suzuka up close so I don't know if it has metallic flake in the paint. Darker than white it blends much better with environment.

New Formula Red: Very beautiful "color" and surprisingly rare. It was originally my 2nd choice for color.
It could loose it's luster over time in the sun and fading clearcoat so take care of it as with all colors. Excellent for accenting with carbon fiber. A little "flashy" but easy on the eyes. No metallic flake in the paint

Grand Prix White: This was my 1st choice for color. Very bold. White goes with everything except landscapes. It's very contrasty and can start to look pasty. White is "sometimes" associated with a "woman's" car color. Excellent for Carbon fiber and makes for a nice project modded out tuner. Hides surface inperfections well but does not show contours of the car (think of being snow blind). Dirt and tar are readily visable if not washed off. 03 and 04 only offer Tan interior

Sebring Silver: Very bright silver with metallic flake that is visable but not well in direct sunlight. Not as flashy as Yellow or Red it is easy to keep clean, shows well day or night, easy to aftermarket match and looks great with contrasting colors such as Carbon Fiber or powdercoating. If you want to add flash, it's offered with Red interior which accents well. Silver/Titanium is often associated with "money".
Because it can be so bright during the day. It can also have the snow blind effect in regards to being able to see the body contours.

Silverstone Metallic: Darker than the Sebring, the metallic flake can be seen well and looks great! Contours are visable day or night and matches well with aftermarket colors, carbon fiber. Not as flashy as Yellow or Red but has it's own "bling-bling". This car can stay stock and look classy it's entire life. To add flash, just ad the Red interior/seats that are offered. I went with this color because when I saw it in the show room it really called out to me. If you get a chance, before you buy any other color....stand next to a silverstone metallic. There Beautiful!!!! day or night.

Black: Aggressive color that shows inperfections all too greatly. Black looks beautiful in the morning at dusk and at night. In direct sunlight it loses it's luster. Dirt and swirls have to be cleaned constently. Often associated with "power" and "speed" this color also demands modifications. This car shows contours well in the early am and evening hours but flattens out under direct sunlight. Carbon fiber accents are not as visable but that may be a plus. Paint does not have metallic flake. Oxidation is most visable with this color.

Well I could go on and on. This is MY opinion from others I've talked to and from my own experiences. I'm just trying to answer the question that was asked...

Good luck with your choice.....

Drive safe....
