Whats the difference between 2007 and 2008 S2K
MY08 sells for close to MSRP around 34K, while MY07 sells for an average of 28,500USD.
i bought an 07 last month and i had the same question... i opted for the 07 coz i think the differences doesn't justify the 5K plus price difference.
as far as i know. everything is unchanged except for some minor details... this has been talked about in another forum i think... the MY08 forum...
the 2 biggest physical diff are the wheels(the miata wheels) and the cluster... you have a slightly diff guages for temp and fuel, it goes with the same arc as the tach...
the seats are taller now... with i believe red stitchings(correct me on this one).
revised spring rates also... the 08 is stiffer than the outgoing model..
now if we're talking about the CR, that's a whole diff ball game.. you'll find more diff... but i wouldn't talk about this anymore... check the CR official thread.. everything is there...

- Different Rims
- Retuned Suspension - 10% stiffer in the front and 5% stiffer in the back (don't quote me on those figures). Supposedly, the car has more of an understeer tendency in the 08s. Additionally, one magazine reported slower lap times with an 08 car than with an 07 car, but stated that the 08 car felt more stable.
- Different Gauges
- Different Seats
- A new silver color - Chicane Silver
Thats all I can think of for now

CR wheels are Gunmetal.
hmm... i have the official japanese brochure for the 2008 S2000... seems like the gauges are the same as the 2007. 2 rainbows for the water temp and fuel instead of the continuous arc...
anyway, unless someone post some pics of the official 2008 cluster, else we will never know...
i am also waiting for my 08 to arrive...

the "CR" and the "touring" trim for MY08 both have the same rims... what are you talking about?

Soooo, back to what I was saying...The 'NON-CR' wheel's are hideous!

The tach starts in the same place, but then the temp gauge and gas gauge fill the rest of the arc after the tach. It looks good to me.
