I was just wondering how fast everyone has taken their s2k ....more importantly ... I am trying to see how the different tyres and/or shocks, lowering has increased anyone's confidence at high speeds.


I have taken the s2k only to about 210km/h (130mph) with the stock tires ... it was very stable then ... I have not tried it with the new combination of 215 45 17 , 245 40 17 .... not sure how much they can take

Pls list your max speeds achieved and

1) Wheel Sizes and Rim Sizes

2) Any handling mods (Strut, Brace, Wing etc....)

 

Bone stock, top down - 140 mph, and the ride (besides the wind) was smooth and everything seemed pretty stable to me.

 

Bone Stock: 148 top down which was redlining in 5th

 

164..... had some left but no more road that felt safe... love to try to top it someday...

 

130mph, top down, passenger, trunk full of luggage. Totally stable.

Hi, I was told that the top speed of the s2k was 160 mph MAX. Is this true or can you push it to higher limits???

 

Definately can be pushed over 160mph.
Bone Stock: 165mph, top up, very fast but very stable

 

167 top up.. very stable.. It wanted to go faster, but i didn't.. the SC helps me get there quicker.

 

Bone stock... 145 in fifth... top up... racing a 97 M3 at 2:30 in the morning... car was a little light, but felt confident and stable. If any one wants to know I let the M3 win I didn't shift to 6th... had to exit too
