Default Whats a good first mod for a MY06?

I've been thinking about an intake or header. I want to leave it smog legal and really like the look of the stock exhaust so I wanted it to be less noticable untill the hood was opened, less it were rims or body mods obviously.

What did you all do as your first mod and what would you do differently in hinesight?

Thanks,
Michael

k&n intake was my first mod, I made a GOOD choice no regrets! Throttle response improved- maybe a couple hp- and a sound to die for! Biggest + for the money!
Exhaust next should be here tommorrow!

My first "mod" was a simple counter sunk shift knob! This drops the height of the knob down to "just right". It's asimple change that feels good.

sorry the pics a fuzzy.

After that it was mod fever - you will catch that bug too. I did a carbon fiber cooling plate first.

Then added a K&N FIPK.

Then of course I was hooked and had to do the exhaust.

Of course then there was the TSB. After all this I am hooked. I have learned that the real question isn't where do you start, but where does it end?
