Someone else mentioned that plastic shopping bags, once stuck to your exhaust, leave a really foul smell when driving the car. Have you had a look underneath and checked out your exhaust? I'm just guessing but it could be worth a try.

If you have been driving hard (and it sounds like you might) and making fast starts, it is most likely your clutch. Bad Kitty!! You shouldn't push it until 600 miles. Did you read the manual? Go easy and break it in proper. Will save you mucho headaches down the road (pardon the pun) and you will get a better feel for the beast.

I bought mine used and it had the worst burning smell. I realized it was some appearance dressing they put on the valve cover. It was gone soon enough.

You're not having a rotten egg smell are you? I've known some catalytic converters to do that.

Just what does it smell like?

I picked one up about 6 months ago and it took me a day to work out what it was - very unpleasant (I thought I had an electical problem and was melting the wiring!).

I had to get out a metal pot scrubber to get the last remnants of plastic off the exhaust before I could get rid of the stink.
